Disposable Phone!!! - Is it Real???

Yes it is. You have to believe what you read. It's real and it will be launched in France in August 2008. The astonishing fact is that it is going to be launched by a ball point pen company Bic, which means that they have no Technological background. And hence may be that is why Bic has teamed up with Orange France to release the first ever Bic Phone, a cell which is sold with a pre-charged battery and made to be thrown away after a chunk of usage. It comes with a SIM card already set-up and only needs activation. The Bic phones will also offer 60 minute free talktime, but if you want more minutes you can pay for it.
The phone is mostly featureless and is a low end phone with calling and text messaging being the only options.
Citrus Orange and Lime Green will be the optional colours you can get of your choice. The Citrus Orange phone will look like the image of the phone above this article. The phone itself will cost €49 /£39/$80/INR3200. One will be certainly curious on how the idea of disposable phone goes even a person in India would be curious about it.
The fact that a non mobile company stepping on to make its mark reminds us of Finland's Nokia which was a Furniture company.
Xbox now cheaper, good for Indian gamers!!!

Many gamers like from India would be surely delighted to know that tomorrow that is on the 13th of July, 2008, the Xbox 360 will be $100 less than its usual price, whatever the price in US is.It seems that gaming retailers have already started showing the price of Xbox as $299. The reason of the pricefall may be the fact that Microsoft's Xbox could not stand before its rivals Sony's PS3 and Nintendo's Wii and has been in a great loss due to poor sales in the US.The PS3 is sold for $400 in the US and its Sony executives show no signs of price cut on PS3 atleast for this year. Instead, as Sony CFO Nobuyuki Oneda said the company wishes to make its console more profitable. In case that Microsoft will confirm the new price tag of $299, Sony’s PS3 will remain the most expensive console on the market. However, Sony is decided to keep the current price. Nintendo said that there will not be any price ut on the Wii for this year a few days ago if I remember. But this is a good news for Xbox fans like me who where waiting for the price fall and saving for it.You should also buy one before Microsoft changes its mind.

SONY ERICSSON'S CYBERSHOT NOW IN INDIA

Sony Ericsson is out with its latest Cyber Shot, the C902.

The slide-out lens cover of the C902 opens to reveal its 5 mega pixels camera with 16x zoom, auto-focus, and face detection. There are eight illuminated camera touch-keys allowing users to select between camera modes, photo flash, face detection, auto-focus, etc, without having to remove their fingers from the shutter button.
Cyber Shot C902 is available in two color options -- Swift Black and Luscious Red. It is priced at Rs 20,995.
“The two new Cyber-shot™ phones that we have announced today share certain characteristics. Both phones place ease-of-use and best-in-class picture quality at the heart of their designs,” said Sven Totté, Head of Imaging Marketing at Sony Ericsson. “Yet both appeal to different audiences. One is engineered to let you take more pictures in more places and the other is designed to look as stunning as the pictures it takes.”

iPhone

The iPhone is an Internet-enabled multimedia mobile
phone designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It has a
multi-touch screen with virtual keyboard and buttons,
but a minimal amount of hardware input. The iPhone's
functions include those of a camera phone and portable
media player (equivalent to the iPod) in addition to
text messaging and visual voicemail. It also offers
Internet services including e-mail, web browsing,
and local Wi-Fi connectivity.
The first generation
phone hardware was quad-band GSM with EDGE; the
second generation uses UMTS and HSDPA.
